A small block of woodland has been brought to the market by Savills and John Clegg in Northumberland and has piqued the interest of local buyers who are looking for private outdoor space. An early closing date has been set on 26th July.

Extending to almost 9 acres, Birtley South Wood (also known locally as Cat Wood) is a very pretty and easily accessible amenity wood situated about ½ a mile south of the village of Birtley and about 12 miles north of Hexham in the Tyne Valley. The wood includes mature scots pine and douglas fir as well as mixed broadleaves with some beautiful examples of oak and ash.

Ewan Harris said: 'This is a lovely amenity woodland in the Tyne valley. It is ideal as a life-style purchase or a small woodland investment.'
