Round Hill Capital, advised by Savills, has acquired a residential portfolio of €47 million from Daelmans Real Estate. The portfolio comprises 398 apartments and 51 single-family houses totalling 30,390 sq m.

The acquisition sees Round Hill increase its total Dutch portfolio to 9,500 residential units. Since the firm was founded in 2002, Round Hill has purchased more than 100,000 homes in Europe and is one of the largest private housing investors in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

Michael Bickford, founder and CEO of Round Hill Capital, says: 'This acquisition confirms our commitment to the Dutch market. We will continue to manage our residential portfolio in a responsible and reliable manner to ensure that our tenants benefit from our long-term focus and our expertise in residential property management.'

Jeroen Gorissen, portfolio manager at Daelmans Real Estate, comments: 'The decision to sell this portfolio is motivated by our intention to focus more on our core areas. The revenue from this sale will be reinvested, resulting in a rejuvenation of our portfolio. The first acquisitions will be completed soon.'

Loyens & Loeff (legal) and Savills (technical due diligence) advised Round Hill Capital. The portfolio is funded by ABN Amro. Daelmans Vastgoed was advised by Van Dijk & Ten Cate Vastgoed Adviseurs (commercial) and AchtenvanGent (legal).
