October 13, 2016, Kazan - Sberbank and the Republic of Tatarstan signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of innovations at FINOPOLIS 2016 forum. The document was signed by CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Herman Gref and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The agreement implies opening an office of Sberbank's subsidiary Sberbank Technology (SberTech) in Innopolis. Up to 600 IT specialists will be employed by SberTech in Innopolis by the end of 2017. Currently, the company has offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Samara, Omsk, and other large cities.

"Signing this agreement is another step by Sberbank Group to ensure technological leadership," said Herman Gref. "Innopolis has created excellent conditions for everyone who wants to deal with innovations and technologies."

Innopolis is a new Russian city, located in the Republic of Tatarstan. The city's economy is based on high-tech industries. Innopolis has a unique urban environment with broad opportunities for education and professional development.
