9 June 2018, Moscow - Sberbank has changed the main page of its website (Sberbank.ru) for the first time in five years. The main objective of the update is to create a user-friendly and intuitive interface that will allow users to find all the necessary information and choose and purchase products and services easily.

'The website is one of our main channels of interacting with clients. That's why it should be fast, user-friendly and predict users' interests. Today's update of the main page is the first step towards the website as a personal assistant that can help you find useful information and suggest products and services that may be interesting for you as a client. We have tried to emphasise all needs and important information for the client and get rid of everything that is superfluous,' said Vice President and Director of Marketing of Sberbank Vladislav Kreynin. 'The next steps are to update the product sections such as cards and loans and to make the process of choosing products and submitting applications for them as easy as possible.'

The changes were preceded by meticulous research of users' interests. Sberbank's specialists researched market trends and carried out polls and tests of new site models.

The new website will guess the users' interests. An important change is the personalisation of the site: each user will see on the main page everything that is interesting for them. The personal offers are based on the client's needs and behaviour analysis. This function is available for the large banner on the top of the page, but gradually personalisation will be extended to all blocks and segments.

The website design has become easier and more functional. Everything important and useful has been placed on the main page, which makes it easier to search for necessary information. The names and locations of the sections have been changed too, at the same time, the internet bank login is still in the same place. In addition, you can see the most popular cards and calculate monthly loan payments on the main page of the site.

It has become easier to open the website on mobile devices. When designing the new site, its developers were guided by the mobile first principle - a development method for creating websites that are optimised for different mobile devices and takes into account the speed of mobile internet. Thanks to this, navigation, the placement of components and visual presentation are equally user-friendly on all mobile devices.

The website now works faster. The website now loads half a second faster.

The search has become smarter. The website has a new search function based on Yandex technology which allows information to be found quickly and easily upon request, and will save users' time and allow one of most popular functions of the website to reach a new level.

All updates to the websites were made by the internal development team of Sberbank.

Sberbank's site is one of the most visited bank sites in Russia. Its monthly audience is 13 mln visitors.
