Sberbank Rossii : wins Red Dot Award

August 14, 2017, Moscow - Sberbank has won Red Dot's Communication Design 2017 Award for the updated design of Sberbank Business Online, the internet bank for businesspeople.

The Red Dot Design Award is a prestigious international product design and communication design prize that has been awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany since 1955. Every year it is awarded for the best projects in three different disciplines: product design, communication design and design concept. This year 8,000 projects from 50 countries were submitted to the awards.

Sberbank is the first ever Russian bank to receive a Red Dot Award for Communication Design. The updated Sberbank Business Online topped the category Interface Design as it was recognised for having a "High Quality Design"

"In the IT industry, design isn't just about aesthetics and style. Design is also closely linked to product functionality, and directly impacts the overall user-friendliness of a system. We are delighted that Red Dot's highly respected jury has recognised our efforts in this area," commented Anatoly Popov, Senior Vice President at Sberbank.

Yevgeny Kolbin, Director of Sberbank's Digital Corporate Bank Division, also commented on the achievement: "This is an excellent result for the entire team, in particular our designers and developers. The new version of Sberbank Business Online was created for clients, and in close cooperation with them. We want the new internet bank to be a convenient and enjoyable experience for our clients. Today it has around 400,000 active users who represent slightly fewer than 322,000 companies across a wide spectrum of the Russian economy. They all appreciate the new internet bank and use it almost every day."

The updated version of Sberbank Business Online was unveiled in December 2016. The new system offers several major advantages - a combination of traditional banking functions and innovative elements, an initiative and easy-to-understand interface, and a marketplace of bank and non-bank products and services.
