April 22, 2016, Moscow - Sberbank took part in the professional banking forum 'SME Banking 2016. Banks and Small and Medium-sized Business', which was organised by the Association of Russian Banks.

Andrey Sharov, Vice President and Head of Sberbank's Small Business Development Department gave a presentation during the session on lending to small and medium-sized business.

'The existing format of interaction between business and banks and business and the state does not meet the needs of modern businesspeople. Owners of businesses should be able to receive loans and subsidiaries with the tap of a button, without having to pay visits to various agencies or cover related costs,' commented Mr Sharov.

Andrey Sharov stated that Sberbank's areas of focus this year include developing online lending and cutting the time required to provide loans; offering a comprehensive package of non-financial services for business (opening accounts, registering entrepreneurs, accounting, etc.) and active electronic cooperation with government agencies in order to synchronise processes.
