Serco : Continues Support for Road Trauma Victims in Victoria with $10,000 Donation

Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV) shares a common goal with the Serco Traffic Camera Services (TCS) team: to help make Victorian roads safer. It is this shared vision that made for a natural partnership with the not-for-profit organisation in 2014, which has seen Serco team members raising funds each year to help the RTSSV support people impacted by road trauma and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education.

In June, Serco had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for $10,809.30 to the service - the team's largest donation so far, bringing total contributions over the last four years to more than $30,000. The donation was a result of the fundraising efforts of TCS staff members, which were matched dollar for dollar by Serco.

Simon Guy, General Manager, Serco Traffic Camera Services said, 'I am immensely proud of the TCS team's fantastic work to raise funds for the important work done by RTSSV. At TCS, our working lives are devoted to helping make Victorian roads safer for everyone. Our passion for road safety continues after hours with fundraising to ensure those people who unfortunately are affected by road accidents can get the help and support they need'.

Cameron Sinclair, CEO of RTSSV thanked the TCS team for their continued support and generosity. 'We value Serco's long-standing support and the personal commitment of the Serco TCS team to improving road safety,' he said. 'This donation will support the RTSSV to continue the work we do providing counselling to people who have experienced road trauma'.
