Servelec has recently been awarded two projects that will run in conjunction to provide significant modifications to the Fire & Gas systems on Forties Alpha in the Central North Sea. The modifications will be made to the South East Forties Control Room and the Fire & Gas Equipment Room on the installation, to support the Aviat shallow gas field development project.

Aviat, approximately 23km East of Forties Alpha and 188km from the Scottish coast, is intended to produce gas as fuel for the Forties Field. The fields are operated by Apache North Sea Ltd, which also has interests in the Beryl Field and the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation System.

The projects will be undertaken by TUV-certified engineers in Servelec's Sheffield manufacturing and testing facility, with offshore commissioning completed from the Aberdeen engineering office.

Servelec has worked on North Sea Oil & Gas installations for over 35 years and has successfully completed projects for the industry's major owners, operators and EPC's. The project was awarded to Servelec based on its long standing relationship with Apache and industry leading Fire and Gas capabilities.
