Following the last update in 2015, Health Canada updated its Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist in June. This change follows the proposed amendment published last year.

The new hotlist includes amended requirements for four entries and a newly added prohibition on one colorant.

MCI is only permitted in combination with MI.

 The prohibition entry of 'Oleandrin' is expanded and replaced by 'Nerium oleander, its extracts and its glycosides'. Oleandrin is prohibited.
Chloramine T (Chloramine T and related compounds)
 127-65-1
 The prohibition entry of 'Chloramine T' is amended as 'Chloramine T and related compounds' for clarity.
 Chloramine T is prohibited.
