SGS : Food Lab in Colombia Achieves ISO 17025 Accreditation

SGS's food testing and analysis laboratory in Bogota, Colombia, has been granted ISO 17025 accreditation by ONAC, Colombia's national accreditation body, a recognized member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

This accreditation reinforces to clients that SGS continues to maintain the high level of competence in its performance that they have come to expect from an industry leader.

Awarded last month, ISO 17025 accreditation is independent verification of SGS in Colombia's competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling on food, food products and raw ingredients. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.

Established in 2014, SGS's Bogota laboratory serves the country's growing food industry, offering physical, chemical and microbiological testing and analyses alongside nutritional facts and label review services, across a broad range of food categories:
