On February 6, 2017, SGS received ISO 9001:2008 certification for its TransitNet platform - a secure, multi-lingual, web-based platform that captures, controls, guarantees and monitors transit declarations to significantly reduce elapsed transit times.

The ISO 9001:2008 quality management system is applicable to the design and provision of TransitNet services authorized by almost 20 Customs authorities for the national and international transit of goods.

The certification covers SGS offices in Geneva, Poland, Serbia, Turkey and Bulgaria. In the near future, other SGS Client Centers will also be integrated.

Roger Kamgaing, SGS Governments and Institutions Executive Vice President said: 'This ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates our strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. It will also enhance efficiency and ultimately improve customer relationships.'
