The Decree of Indonesia Minister of Industry No. 07/M-IND/PER/2/2014 has been effective since 17 May 2014 and relates to the National Standards of Indonesia(SNI) certification program for a range of baby garments for children under the age of 36 months. The update of this Decree applies to testing done by foreign laboratories.

The Decree of Indonesia Minister of Industry No. 07/M-IND/PER/2/2014 effective since 17 May 2014, on the implementation of National Standards of Indonesia (SNI) requires mandatory testing of baby clothes. This decree which has been in effect since 17 May 2014 states that the appointment of foreign laboratories listed in the Decree of Indonesia Minister of Industry No. 33/M-IND/PER/5/2014 is valid only for 2 years.

All baby clothing imported or produced, distributed and marketed in Indonesia must be labelled with SNI certification mark (Certificate of SNI Labeled Products, SPPT SNI). The SNI certification mark must be issued by a Product Certification Body (LSPro) that has been accredited by the National Accreditation Body of Indonesia (KAN) and appointed by Minister of Industry. The certificate must show that the product conforms to the SNI 7617:2013 requirements and the SNI label should be put on each product in an easily accessible area.
