One of the biggest summer events for the academic music lovers - Pažaislis Music Festival - will be inviting to its very own concert this year for the 23rd time since it was founded. For the second year in a row, Šiaulių Bankas, which became the partner of this unique event, will join the festival.

'We are very excited that Pažaislis Music Festival's values are very similar with the ones that are valuaed in Šiaulių bankas and for the second year we have a reliable partner, which allows our listeners to offer such a solid and wide-ranging festival program', - the organizer and coordinator of the festival Justinas Krėpšta is pleased.

'Pažaislis festival is distinguished by its high quality, but at the same time, accessible music for all its long years of existence. Last year, as a festival bank, we became very interested in professional music and concerts traveling through Lithuania. Bank employees were also very interested in attending the festival events, proud of the fact that the bank contributed to them, ' - says Daiva Grikšienė, Director of Marketing and Communication Department of Šiaulių Bankas.

Celebrating the centenary of Lithuanian statehood, Pažaislis festival of this year will be marked on its motives: from the Freedom bells ringing from the Kaunas carillon to musical-documentary drama 'Lithuania is a state!', Which will tell the nation's way towards the state. The festival will commemorate the Maestro Virgilius Noreika Memorial program, and it will end with the rock opera 'Eglė'. In total, 42 different programs will be played - from choral music to tango.

Particular attention will be paid to the community this year - festival concerts will also become community event. The Kaunas Aleksotas Community will invite to the festival concert in the VMU Botanical Garden, where guests will return for a short time to the 19th century, offering excursions and games. Another glance at the past awaits at Kulautuva. The 85-year-old town community will be completing the Jazz Island concert with creative workshops and forestry teas.

'It is a pleasure that this year the festival pays special attention for strengthening the communities - they are included in the organization of special events and have the opportunity to present themselves to the guests of the festival. We, as the largest Lithuanian bank, are very close to this idea - we believe that a strong state primarily consists of strong communities, and from the very beginning of the bank we have been trying to contribute to community projects, 'says D. Grikšienė.

Pažaislis Music Festival will delight music lovers from the beginning of June to the first days of September. This year, the festival will visit nearly 20 Lithuanian cities and towns and even 15 festival events will be free of charge.
