Singapore, 11 October 2017 - 20 beautiful women will gather tonight at the West Ballroom of Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre to vie for the coveted title of Miss Universe® Singapore 2017.

The finalists have undergone intensive gym training sessions and followed strict dietary guidelines in preparation for today.

Strength and conditioning coach Benedict Chia, from new sponsor B-Fit SG, said: 'We conducted assessments individually with the finalists and tailored personalised training programs for each of them. To ensure intensive training, we made it a point for the girls to come down twice a week to train. We also had the finalists fill in daily meals in their food journal to keep track of their macronutrient count.'

Cheryl Chou, Miss Universe Singapore 2016, said: 'The journey to the finale taught me so much about who I am and what I stand for, and how to never question my own abilities. It provided me with the perfect platform and opportunity to experience new things, but more importantly to use my voice to touch the hearts of others in my own way.'

Cheryl will crown her successor tonight, who will go on to represent Singapore with the same values that she believes in: Strength and Independence.

The finalists of Miss Universe Singapore 2017 exude confidence with a common goal: To use the pageant as a platform to champion female rights and represent beauty with a purpose.

Singapore Turf Club is the pageant's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner this year. Its Chief Financial Officer, Mr Vince Toh, said: 'Charitable partnerships and philanthropic endeavors are truly representative of what the Miss Universe Singapore pageant is and synergises very well with Singapore Turf Club's commitment of giving back to the community.'
