Singapore Press : ShareInvestor enters venture to offer online investor relations services to Australasian listed and private companies

The new venture company will be called WISI Australia Pty Ltd. This partnership will increase the ease of access to information and opportunities for investors and enhance the visibility of ASX-listed company news and information in Southeast Asia and Australia.

Headquartered in Sydney, WI was launched in October 2008 by its managing director Mr Steve Torso. Its online platform and events link investors to companies seeking funding opportunities, including those listed in the ASX, SGX and New Zealand Exchange (NZX), as well as private companies in small-cap, growth and pre-IPO stages.

Over the last 12 months, WI has organised more than 25 investor events in six countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea to over 3,000 attendees. In that time WI has profiled over 120 emerging growth companies, raising over A$50 million. WI's clients include Martin Aircraft, the maker of the Martin Jetpack which listed on the ASX in 2015; QBiotics, a public unlisted life sciences company focused on tumour cancer and wound healing; and DomaCom, the fractional property investing player which will soon list on the ASX.

Besides investor events, WI has built up an email subscription base of 15,600High net worth, professional and International investors, along with Family offices and Industry participants. It also has an active distribution network made up of brokers, fund managers and business media outlets.

SI is a finance-focused media and technology company with an established base of subscribers and users of its proprietary market data tools and financial applications. It was acquired by SPH in November 2008 as a wholly-owned subsidiary. SI also assists public-listed companies and financial institutions with their corporate website designs and technology services and has one of the largest investor relations network in ASEAN. It currently serves more than 500 corporate clients across 4 countries.

SI and WI have worked on several investor events in Singapore and profiled more than 50 Australian companies reaching out thousands of investors locally over the past 24 months.
