Singapore, 15 November 2016- Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) has launched a brand new product, Personalised Print. Readers can now publish personalised messages on the front pages of The Straits Times, The Business Times, or Lianhe Zaobao, on any date in advance. The exclusive copy will be delivered to the recipient on the actual day of publication.

Ms Cassandra Sim made the front page of The Straits Times on her birthday - and history, as the first recipient of the SPH Personalised Print. Her birthday celebrations last Friday took an unexpected turn when SPH representatives delivered an exclusive copy of The Straits Times printed with personalised birthday greetings from her boyfriend and his mum.

The gift was the idea of her boyfriend's mother, Ms Betty Goh, who arranged for the bespoke gift.

Ms Goh said: 'The Personalised Print is a terrific gift to surprise people with. The delivery of the present was the highlight of the evening. It delighted our guests and made our celebrations a memorable one.'

This unique, personalised experience is what major titles such as The Straits Times, The Business Times, and Lianhe Zaobao are offering at an introductory price of $1,000 (usual at $2,000).

Mr Jerry Siah, Head of Product Innovation and Pricing at SPH Integrated Marketing Division, said: 'The Personalised Print allows our readers to commemorate special occasions alongside news of events that happened on the same day. Recipients get to keep a piece of history. Each personalised copy of the newspaper serves as a precious record and memory for recipients in years to come.'

Personalised Print allows readers to publish personally curated messages on the premium front page newspaper advertisement space of either The Straits Times, The Business Times, or Lianhe Zaobao, worth between $8,000 and $28,000.

Recipients of this special experience can expect an exclusive, framed copy of the selected newspaper title accompanied by a bouquet of roses and bottle of champagne.

Mr Siah said: 'We want to build an emotional connection with our readers by placing them on the front and centre of our main newspapers. The Personalised Print is an excellent way for people to convey heartfelt messages to mark special events, such as anniversaries, birthdays, convocations, congratulatory greetings, wedding proposals, marriage vows, and many more.'

Personalised Print will be having a Christmas Edition where readers can opt to send Christmas gifts in the form of personalised season's greeting printed on The Straits Times' front page on either December 24or December 25for a special price of $100 ($10 will be donated to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund for each order).

'The Personalised Print initiative is among our growing list of creative offerings we have for the market. We continue to maximise the value of our platforms and products to ensure that they benefit both advertisers and readers.'

Ms Sim said: 'It was simply unbelievable. It's amazing to see my photos and birthday wishes printed together with the front page news of The Straits Times.
