Block Listing Application - update

Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY) ('Sirius' or the 'Company') provides an update on the block listing application announcement made on 19 July 2016.

All of the referenced 5,975,000 ordinary shares in the Company (the 'Block Listing Shares') have subsequently been issued. No more of these Block Listing Shares will therefore be issued.

Following admission of the Block Listing Shares, the Company's enlarged issued share capital will comprise 2,313,369,115 ordinary shares with voting rights. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
