Snam joined the fourth edition of the Smart Working week that takes place util the 26th of May. The initiative is supported by Milan Municipality. A growing trend in Italy, Smart Working means working from house, park or in a co-working space; a solution of distance working that fosters a balance between personal and professional life and reduces traffic, pollution and travel time.

Snam's participation is part of the commitment to get people at the very center, fostering a sustainable growth. A trend in line with the extension of the 'Smart Working' experimentation that has involved more than 150 people. The task is to measure efficiency and productivity advantages and to evaluate a potential extension of the programme.

The experimentation has been organized with dedicated rules and instruments. Already equipped with all the essential tools, employees will have opportunity to choose their smart working day. For this reason, the project has proved to be very challenging: on one hand, management has been asked to rethink planning and identify performances' evaluation criteria, on the other hand, smart workers have been empowered to properly organize their time and tasks.

Finally, Snam's role goes beyond: during this period, in order to foster Smart Working culture, Snam will 'adopt' another company mentoring it. The aim is sharing best practices, tools and know-how with a company approaching for the first time this experience.
