Friday, June 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.000, nearly four cents above Thursday's closing price of $2.965. Pushed higher overnight due to short-term above average temperatures that are expected to cover much of the country, the contract eclipsed the $3.00 mark and rose into the morning. Tallying the intraday high of $3.032 at 10:40AM, the highest intraday mark since mid-January, prices floated modestly lower to fluctuate along the $3.02 level into the afternoon. July closed higher on Friday at $3.022.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 22 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
