Beverly Hills, Calif. - May 18, 2015 - Starz SVP of Program Planning Eric Neal announced the promotions of Antonio Pacheco to VP, Program Planning and Scheduling for Starz and Jim Schubert to VP, Program Planning and Scheduling for Encore.

"These two executive promotions at Starz are in recognition of the thoughtful approach and leadership each has added to the programming group," Neal said. "Antonio and Jim bring a variety of experience to the programming team that will be helpful as we continue to bring exciting programming to STARZ and ENCORE consumers and continue to evolve our channels."

Promoted to VP, Program Planning and Scheduling for Starz, Pacheco is responsible for leading the overall Program Planning and Scheduling functions for the six STARZ channels which includes developing STARZ Original series playoffs and roll-out plans; leading the evaluation and recommendation process for Starz Friday Night Features and the development of annual programming stunts and packages for the STARZ channels. He also leads the short- and long-term content planning across the STARZ channels as well as the communication for programming activities across departments.

Based in the company's Colorado headquarters, Pacheco joined Starz in 2001 and has advanced through various management positions during his tenure at Starz, serving most recently as Director, Program Planning and Scheduling. Pacheco earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with pre-medical curriculum from Stanford University.

Schubert was promoted to VP, Program Planning and Scheduling for Encore, where he will be responsible for the development and execution of network programming strategy for the 11 ENCORE and MOVIEPLEX premium pay TV channels. In addition, Schubert will also identify and execute programming initiatives to drive awareness of ENCORE which includes developing annual programming stunts and packages for the ENCORE channels; evaluating and recommending key programming content and guide overall ENCORE and MOVIEPLEX service changes and improvements.

Schubert joined Starz in 2006 after nine years at Showtime Networks where he most recently served as Account Director for Affiliate Sales and Marketing. Schubert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Colorado State University.
