Sun Hung Kai Properties : Special Community Programmes Encouraging Sports for Charity SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC Spurs Sports Craze

The sixth SHKP Vertical Run for Charity - Race to Hong Kong ICC from Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) will be on Sunday 3 December and will again be the grand finale of the Vertical World Circuit. SHKP is also staging the Step Up for Fitness and Step Up for Wellness community activities to promote healthy living using an easy function in the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity mobile app, so people can have fun and get fit for charity.

Step Up for Health Takes Stair Climbing to the Public

People can go to Google Play or the App Store and download the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity mobile app to join Step Up for Health. Participants have to walk at least 1,000 steps over at least five days in a week (as recorded by the app step counter) to get a prize! Three people each week will get shopping mall vouchers, afternoon tea buffets or tickets to the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, and the person taking the most steps over the ten-week campaign to 26 November will win the grand prize of HK$1,000 shopping mall vouchers. Step Up for Wellness Encourages Sport for Charity

Step Up for Wellness will operate in over thirty SHKP estates until 25 October encouraging residents to exercise for charity. Residents will be able to use the mobile app step counter or designated stair machines in estate clubhouses to accumulate steps. Participants will get a stamp and fitness tips for every 100 steps recorded and a bottle of FUJI Water for every two stamps collected. Collecting ten stamps will entitle participants to a limited-edition waterproof mobile phone pocket!

Residents who meet their pre-set goal on random Mission Days will get a bonus stamp and five bonus stamps will earn a chance to win two sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck tickets while they last.

Estates participating in Step Up for Wellness will be eligible for King of Stairs and Most Supportive Estate awards. The three estates with the most accumulated steps will be dubbed King of Stairs and the three with the most participants will be crowned Most Supportive Estate. Representatives of the winning estates will be invited to an award presentation on Sunday 3 December at International Commerce Centre - the tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong - to share the memorable moment with other winners on stage!
