Symantec Corporation : Symantec Unveils New Global Security Operations Center in U.S.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Feb. 7, 2012 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the opening of its new, expanded Security Operations Center (SOC) in Herndon, Va. to support the rapid growth of the Symantec Managed Security Services (MSS) group. This fast growth has been driven by robust customer demand for services to help organizations keep pace with the evolving threat landscape coupled with Symantec's unique portfolio of advanced security monitoring and management services offered in a simplified enterprise-wide pricing model.

The new SOC in Herndon - formerly located in Alexandria, Va. - joins Symantec's other global SOCs in the UK, Australia and India as part of the first line of defense against cyber threats for customers around the world.
