O2 is achieving a market first by introducing a revolutionary change of its offer. Customers will no longer need to think about how they use their mobile phone. For a mere 249 CZK, customers taking advantage of the new plans will be able to call and text within the O2 network without any limitations, while for 749 CZK they will get unlimited calling and SMSing to any phone number in the Czech Republic, with 1 GB of data on top of that. The new FREE tariffs will be available to everyone - whether a new customer or a current O2 customer with a contract liability.

"We are the first operator to launch this revolutionary offer which enables our customers to shake off any limitations and to use their mobile phone without restraint. We are bringing a plan with absolutely no limits for 749 CZK. We are also significantly simplifying our tariff portfolio," says Luis Malvido, CEO of Telefónica Czech Republic.

The new FREE tariffs are available to all customers, including those enjoying any form of a 24-month contract benefit, such as a subsidised mobile device. All customers with a contract can easily purchase a new plan and have their 24-month contract replaced with a new one with significantly better conditions. However, the new plans will be available in non-contracted variants as well.

The current O2 NEON tariffs will no longer be offered.

The introduction of the new FREE plans comes with a modification of the sales policy for mobile devices. When buying a new mobile device, customers will be able to spread the cost across a period of 24 months. Device subsidies offered in return for a minimum monthly spend will no longer be available.

Customers opting for the O2 Mobil service will thus no longer need to choose between owning the desired device and enjoying advantageous call rates. With FREE tariffs and O2 Mobil, they can enjoy both.

Customers taking advantage of the O2 Mobil service will choose an initial down payment. The outstanding balance will than by payable in 24 monthly instalments with no interest or fees.

The O2 Mobil service will be available to all private customers and self-employed entrepreneurs who use any of the O2 tariff-based mobile services.
