-- Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation Research Reports On September 24, 2014, Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (Cabot) announced that the Company has recently entered into a definitive purchase and sale agreement to acquire approximately 30,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford Shale with a capacity of producing approximately 1,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day, for $210 million, subject to customary due diligence and closing adjustments. The transaction is expected to close in October 2014. As a result of this transaction, the Company has added a fourth operated rig in the Eagle Ford to begin drilling on the newly acquired properties.
