TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ: TESS), a leading provider of the product and value chain solutions required to build, use and maintain wireless systems, announced today that GE’s Digital Energy business (NYSE: GE) has selected TESSCO as an authorized channel partner and distributor.

As an authorized GE partner, TESSCO will be part of a global team that is dedicated to offering groundbreaking communications solutions that increase the reliability of electrical power networks and critical equipment for utility, industrial, energy and large, commercial customers.

“TESSCO is excited about the opportunity to partner with a global leader such as GE’s Digital Energy business to offer some of the latest, most innovative M2M technologies that support the growing needs and demands of our customers’ critical communication infrastructures,” said Gerald Garland, Senior Vice President of Solutions Development and Product Management at TESSCO.

“Our MDS Orbit Platform provides utilities and industrial companies with the communication infrastructure they need to improve the reliability and stability of their operations. It connects equipment and field personnel to provide an accurate, real-time view of network operations and asset performance,” said Brian Boutte, Global Channels and Strategic Partners Leader in GE’s Digital Energy Business. “Through this agreement with TESSCO, we will be able to rapidly respond to and fulfill our customer needs, ensuring their network assets can operate at optimal efficiencies.”

The MDS Orbit Platform allows utilities, oil and gas companies and the transportation and mining industries to easily and cost-effectively expand their communication infrastructures using a range of technologies.
