Gays, Lesbians and Allies at Dow (GLAD) partners with PFLAG National on Scholarship Program supporting LGBT and Ally Students in Science and Technology, Applications Now Being Accepted

Midland, Mich. - February 21, 2013

For the eleventh year in a row, Dow's (NYSE:DOW)  resource group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally (LGBTA) employees-Gays, Lesbians and Allies at Dow (GLAD) Employee Network-has partnered with PFLAG National (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) to promote a science and technology scholarships for LGBTA students. Dow's partnership with PFLAG's national scholarship program, a commitment to education and support of young LGBTA scholars, shows the Company's forward-thinking vision for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Students must show a strong interest and skill set in science, technology, engineering and/or math and support LGBT equality in their communities in order to receive the scholarship. Once selected, each recipient will receive a generous $3,500 towards their college education. Applications are due by March 31, 2013.
