The Building Better Healthcare Awards are held each year to celebrate innovation and improvement in the built environment, medical devices and people working in the healthcare industry. The "Best Product for Improving Sustainability and/or Reducing Energy" award is presented to a product that is helping to improve sustainability and reduce energy costs and carbon emissions within the health and social care sectors. Entries are judged against the following criteria:

-Has a measurable positive impact on costs, significantly reducing energy spending

-Consideration of sustainability (social, economic and technical) and carbon reduction

According to the judges, the Project was "a clear winner. It shows proven effectiveness and clever procurement for what is a very innovative system. There are good installation results and clear, precise financial effects."
