The New TomTom GO

The recently-released TomTom GO 2505 TM was named an Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Honoree for In-Vehicle Navigation. Products entered in this prestigious program were judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media, which honored outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 36 product categories.

The Innovations entries were judged based on the following criteria:

  • Engineering qualities, based on technical specs and materials used
  • Aesthetic and design qualities, using photos provided
  • The product's intended use/function and user value
  • Unique/novel features that consumers would find attractive
  • How the design and innovation of the product compares to other products in the marketplace

Building on the excitement of the GO 2505 TM, TomTom will introduce an enhanced model, the GO 2535 TM, that will be widely available in Spring 2011.

Nike+ SportWatch GPS Powered by TomTom

The Nike+ SportWatch GPS Powered by TomTom was honored with the Editor's Choice Award from Popular Mechanics, one of America's most trusted men's magazines. The new, game-changing running watch was named as one of nineteen products at CES to be awarded an Editor's Choice Award. The winners were honored at a ceremony at the Consumer Electronics Show on Thursday, January 6, 2011.

"Our editors spend weeks doing advance research and then give the most promising CES products hands-on workouts to find those they feel are 'Best in Show' in terms of excellence and innovation in design and engineering," said Popular Mechanics Editor-in-Chief James Meigs.

Additionally, the Nike+ SportWatch GPS powered by TomTom was awarded two International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the Personal Electronics and Health/Wellness categories.
