Transneft Far East, LLC together with PMC ESPO, LLC (subsidiaries of Transneft) started individual tests of the facilities of new oil pump station (OPS) No. 29. The station is located in Amur Region near Arkhara settlement and is a part of the infrastructure of the second state of Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO-2) oil trunk pipeline.

Individual tests are the stage, which includes installation, precommissioning and complex testing of systems and equipment of the facility.

Construction of the main buildings and structures of OPS No. 29, which is a booster station of ESPO-2, is completed. They include a trunk pump house with four pump units, a control room, a firefighting pump station, fire water tanks and a wastewater biotreatment station. Besides, an indoor switchgear, a stop valve unit, mud-trap filters, a diesel power plant and a pump house of utility and drinking water system were constructed. The station also has an area maintenance building, a workshop and a covered parking for vehicles with a repair section.

At present cables are being laid, precommissioning of automation systems started. Individual tests of the equipment and landscaping are being performed.

Commissioning of OPS No. 29 is planned for the fourth quarter of 2017. It was built to the extent of the first stage of the investment project of Transneft to increase annual capacity of ESPO-2 (section from Skovorodino OPS (Amur Region) to Kozmino Oil Port (Primorsky Territory) up to 50 million tons of oil. It is planned to complete the project by 2020.

For expansion of the second stage of Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean Oil Trunk Pipeline it is planned to build three more OPS (two OPS in Amur Region and one OPS in EAO (Jewish Autonomous Region)), and to revamp oil pump stations in Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories. Construction of OPS is assigned to PMC ESPO.

800 new working places, including 64 at OPS No. 29 will be created for implementation of the project. 78% of employees of the new facility are local inhabitants. At the expense of Transneft Far East employees received new professions in the oil transportation sphere in Amur Multifunctional Centre of Professional Qualifications (Belogorsk) and Tomsk Technology and Humanities College.
