update software presents CRM.pad 2.0

Vienna, 4 September 2014 +++ update software AG, one of Europe's leading providers of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, is set to launch CRM.pad 2.0. The iPad app provides sales and service staff in the field with the mobile CRM functions they require in order to provide customers with the best possible service. The mobile solution is smarter, clearer and more user-friendly than its predecessor. Users benefit from a clearly structured interface, practice-relevant functions and an offline mode, making it possible to work even more efficiently and flexibly.

Winner of the Red Dot Design Award, CRM.pad is a native iPad app and one of the first applications on the market that provides sales and service reps with all the benefits of a smart, modern CRM application. update's experience over the past two years has flowed into CRM.pad 2.0, leading to a significant reworking of the design and functions in order to make the application even more efficient and user-friendly.

Quick add function reduces taps to a minimum

The new quick add function makes completing tasks easier than ever before, and product information can be displayed in a variety of views that can be selected by the user. Entering product data in offers and orders, documenting products at a point of sale and documenting distributed samples is thus quick and easy. In each use case, data can be entered and edited with a minimum of taps.

Dashboard, control center and search: Key functions just a tap away

The dashboard, control center and search area are always accessible from the top of the screen and provide users with access to the CRM application's core areas.

  • The clearly structured dashboard serves as a central launch pad from which users can access the processes they required, such as managing offers. This clear structure also makes it easy to quickly enter important information while in the field.
  • The control center allows users to switch between various work processes that are running in parallel and to define settings.
  • Users can open the search with a single tap and without interrupting the current process. Users can access additional customer data from within a process, and then use this information to continue completing their current task without detours. The data entered previously is retained and unnecessary additional steps are avoided.

Remain productive even when offline

Users can now manage their data wherever they are, even without an active internet connection. The same functions are available in offline mode as in online mode. If the iPad is not connected to the internet when data is entered on the device, this remains transparent to the user. The data is automatically transferred to the central CRM database once an internet connection has been established.

CRM.pad 2.0 will be available from 9 September, with custom-tailored versions for the manufacturing, construction and construction supplies, pharmaceutical, medical technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors. CRM.pad supports iPad 2 or higher and runs on iOS 7.0 or higher. CRM.pad will be exclusively presented at the CRM-expo in Stuttgart, Germany from 8-10 October in Hall 4, Booth 4C71.
