Both Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort continue to expand terrain, as each resort has opened additional trails every week since Opening Day. Both resorts are offering top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding across multiple peaks prior to the holidays, and will be adding more terrain heading into this weekend. This morning, a brief burst of snow quickly brought two inches of snow to both resorts with additional snow in the forecast through the weekend. For the holiday week at Breckenridge, skiers and snowboarders will have access to approximately 500 acres of terrain across Peaks 7, 8 and 9, with Peak 10 and the new six-passenger Falcon SuperChair set to open on Wednesday, Dec. 27. For new terrain offerings, Breck recently opened the intermediate Angel's Rest trail on Peak 7 today, and this weekend the resort plans to open the intermediate Sundown trail on Peak 9, the Freeway Terrain Park including the superpipe and four large jumps on Peak 8, as well as some additional connector trails and chairlifts. With natural snow and more terrain on tap for the holidays, skiers and snowboarders can look forward to enjoying fresh tracks and expanded terrain on the mountain by day and the historic and festive streets of downtown Breckenridge by night. Beginning this Friday, Dec. 22, Keystone will have will have skiing and snowboarding available on all three peaks. The resort will open the intermediate trail Elk Run via the Outback Express chairlift, the intermediate trail Mozart which will provide skiing and snowboarding access from Dercum Mountain to the base of North Peak, and additional trails on Dercum, including Silver Spoon and Flying Dutchman. In A51, Easy Street will open and joins I-70, Park Lane and The Alley, which are currently open. Keystone currently has night skiing available every day through Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, the longest ski day in all of Colorado. Guests can complement the fun of skiing and snowboarding with dining at one of Keystone's signature restaurants, participating in free daily Kidtopia activities, enjoying scenic and dinner wagon rides, ice skating on one of two rinks, or exploring the world's largest snow fort.
