Vectren's energy efficiency programs achieve record energy savings in 2015; Gas and electric residential and business rebate programs continue in 2016

Evansville, Ind. - Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana's (Vectren) energy efficiency programs achieved record savings in 2015, with natural gas energy efficiency programs savings of four million therms, which is enough to heat more than 5,000 homes for a year, and electric energy efficiency programs helped save 40 million kilowatt hours in 2015, which is enough to power more than 3,000 homes for a year.

Natural gas program results were driven by high-efficiency furnace and Wi-Fi thermostat rebates. Electric energy efficiency program success was led by Wi-Fi thermostat rebates, high-efficiency A/C units and energy efficient lighting. Small and mid-size business participation in Vectren's energy efficiency programs was also very strong.

"Efficiency programs play a vital role in the energy needs of our customers, and Vectren is committed to continuing to promote and drive participation in our 2016 programs and beyond," said Brad Ellsworth, president of Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana - South. "Energy efficient products and services deliver substantial savings over their operating life, and our programs help customers use energy wisely."

Vectren will continue to offer its gas and electric customers energy efficiency programs, which include cash rebates for replacing existing gas and electric equipment with high-efficiency models as well as custom programs for businesses of all size.
