(NYSE: VTR) ("Ventas" or the "Company") announced today that Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has raised its ratings on the Company's senior unsecured debt to Baa1 from Baa2, with a stable outlook. In its ratings upgrade, Moody's stated: "The rating upgrade reflects Ventas' significant growth in unencumbered assets, its consistently conservative balance sheet, and operational strength. In addition, the ratings reflect Ventas'... success in expanding its market position while maintaining sound liquidity."
