ServO, an integrated, state-of-the-art management center, is now operational. It handles 1.25 billion data to ensure unparalleled service quality across a region with a population of 4.5 million.

At the heart of this complex and densely urbanized environment that is France's capital, the SEDIF's high level user requirements necessitates an unique management tool and the ability to respond immediately at all times.
By incorporating real time data treatment for all the service components:

  • produce and distribute quality water in sufficient quantity under all operational configurations
  • respond to all events affecting production, distribution or water quality
  • provide water consumers with precise information in real time
  • guarantee the network's technical performance,

ServO provides a crucial decision-making aid to ensure continuous water supply, safety of consumer health, and crisis prevention and management.ServO, the public water service management center, the fruit of 6.3 million euros investment, was designed by Veolia Eau d'Ile-de-France for SEDIF to centralize and consolidate all operation data, supervise and plan service management from the resource to the tap, and to suggest strategies to the operators to optimize energy consumption, environmental impact and operation costs. For Antoine Frérot, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Veolia, 'France's largest water service deserved the best technology. With ServO, we have achieved a major step forward for our business of managing large urban water services and for preventing risks, as well as for how our businesses interact with the environmental and societal issues facing large cities.'A significant innovation, processing in real time an important amount of data -big data- (measured, calculated, simulated and forecast data from our plants and the network, and past operation data), ServO is a quantitative leap forward and a global reference for the management of a large metropolitan water service. 'This innovation,' says SEDIF's President André Santini, 'reinforces SEDIF's technological lead as a public water service within Greater Paris, committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and sustainable management combining transparency and performance, for a controlled cost.'ServO was officially inaugurated on October 14, 2016, by André Santini, President of SEDIF, former government minister, MP and mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux, and Vice President of Greater Paris Metropolis; and Antoine Frérot, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Veolia.

SEDIF (Syndicat des Eaux d'Ile-de-France), a public entity established in 1923, is the authority responsible for producing and distributing drinking water in 150 municipalities in the Greater Paris area. Its plants, recognized worldwide as references for their size and level of technology, are located on the region's main rivers: the Seine (Choisy-le-Roi), Marne (Neuilly-sur-Marne), and Oise (Méry-sur-Oise). They produce some 240 billion liters of water each year, supplied through a network of 8,600 kilometers of pipes to 4.5 million people. The service's operation and management was delegated in 2010 to Veolia Eau d'Ile-de-France, a Veolia subsidiary, under a 12-year public service delegation contract.
Veolia group is the global leader in optimized resource management. With over 174 000 employees worldwide, the Group designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of communities and industries.
