VILLA WORLD OPENS STUNNING PARK AT ASTONBROOK, CARINDALE

A new community park was today officially opened at Astonbrook in Carindale. The park overlooking the riparian corridor and the $1.2 million Spring Creek catchment rehabilitation has been completed as part of the development.

To link the two sides of the community there is also a public bridge and viewing platform constructed through the riparian corridor for the community's use.
Villa World, one of Australia's largest integrated housing providers, is  developing the premium 47 lot residential subdivision, known as Astonbrook in the suburb of Carindale, Brisbane.
Deputy Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Adrian Schrinner  and Villa World's  Senior Development Manager Gary Hunter launched the park recently to recognise the significance of its creation for local residents.

"We wanted to create something special for Astonbrook and Carindale residents that incorporated the natural beauty of the area," said Villa World's Senior Development Manager Gary Hunter.
"Landscape designers have incorporated sandstone features lining the pathways that lead to a bridge and broadwalk over Spring Creek, making it the ideal spot for family picnics or entertaining friends on the weekend."

As part of the works program Villa World has also committed to undertaking an extensive environmental rehabilitation monitoring and management program as part of the project including the protection, replenishment and monitoring of rainbow fish population in the creek.

"It is wonderful to see developers like Villa World embracing the natural beauty of an area like Spring Creek catchment to offer great facilities for the local community," said Cr Schrinner.
The Astonbrook community will be based on larger, traditional sized lots ranging from 625sqm up to 1257sqm. Home designs will be controlled by an independent design review panel to ensure quality contemporary architecture is established and maintained throughout the life cycle of the project.
