In keeping with Virginia Commerce Bank's commitment to professional development and in recognition of outstanding performance, we proudly announce the following recent officer promotions:

John McManus has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Community Banking, focusing on business development in the Alexandria market. Mr. McManus is a board member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of Leadership Alexandria. With over 15 years in the banking industry, Mr. McManus has been with Virginia Commerce Bank since 2007.

Charles Kapur has been promoted to Vice President, Community Banking. In his new role, Mr. Kapur will be responsible for business development activities in the Bank's Loudoun County and Reston markets. Mr. Kapur most recently held the position of Branch Manager of the Ashburn branch. He has been with the Bank for the past six years and has 10 years of banking experience.

Kimberly Bradford has been promoted to Branch Manager, Falls Church branch. She previously served as Assistant Manager at our Lake Ridge branch. Ms. Bradford has been with the Bank for over four years.

Libby Fike has been promoted to Vice President, Project Management. With a 27-year banking career, Ms. Fike has spent the last five years in the Project Management Department. She played a key role in the oversight of the Bank's core processing system conversion in November.

Last year's passage of the Dodd-Frank Act, the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (S.A.F.E.) Act and other new regulations has further expanded the role and critical importance of the Bank's compliance functions and mortgage lending operations. To recognize outstanding performance in the Compliance department, the Bank is pleased to announce the promotions to Assistant Vice President, Compliance of Caroline Foster and Laura Jones. Ms. Foster has been with the Bank since 2004 and Ms. Jones joined the Bank in 2005. Both officers have extensive training from the ABA Compliance School. To support the implementation of the new regulatory requirements for residential real estate-secured loans, Barry Huitema will join the Bank's Consumer Lending group as Vice President, Retail Consumer Operations. Mr. Huitema has been with the Bank since 2000, serving most recently as a commercial lender in the Prince William market.

And finally, the Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Kimberly Clay to Manager of Loan Administration. Ms. Clay joined the Bank in 2002 and has held various positions within the Loan Administration Department.
