'Screw it - let's just do it.'

That might be the best quote ever, which it makes me admire Richard Branson even more. 'Just doing it' is probably the hardest and bravest thing any of us can do, entrepreneurs or not.

It's certainly true of Richard! Here's a guy who has been driven by the entrepreneurial bug since he was a wee lad, overcoming dyslexia and every other obstacle to succeed - and succeed brilliantly. Today, the billionaire heads up Virgin Group, a conglomerate with more than 200 companies in more than 30 countries, yet he seems like the kind of guy you grab a pint with at the corner pub.

So as we ease into Q4 and the end-of-year dash, tell us, Sir Richard, what does it take to succeed?

'To me, business isn't about wearing suits or pleasing stockholders. It's about being true to yourself, your ideas and focusing on the essentials.'

'You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.'

'Business opportunities are like buses. There's always another one coming.'

'A business has to be involving, it has to be fun, and it has to exercise your creative instincts.'

'One thing is certain in business. You and everyone around you will make mistakes.'

'Complexity is your enemy. Any fool can make something complicated. It is hard to keep things simple.'

'You can never go too far wrong by thinking like a customer who's new to the business.'

'The brands that thrive in the coming years are the ones that have a purpose beyond profit.'

'A business is simply an idea to make other people's lives better.'

'My philosophy is that if I have any money I invest it in new ventures and not have it sitting around.'

'I cannot remember a moment in my life when I did not feel the love of my family. We were a family that would have killed for each other - and we still are.'

'Some 80% of your life is spent working. You want to have fun at home; why shouldn't you have fun at work?'

Those are my favorite Richard Branson quotes. Which quote is your favorite - and why?
