Westfield : Century City partners with LACMA

Westfield Corporation and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) have announced the formation of a new multi-year partnership that will allow Westfield to exhibit select pieces from the museum on a long-term basis at Westfield Century City.

Three sculptures will be unveiled first: Woods Davy's Toluca; Jene Highstein's Eolith I; and Michael Todd's Daimaru XI. The sculptures will be on long-term display within some of the property's most prominent locations, with possible additions to the display to be announced at a later date.

The first three sculptures will be unveiled this Fall in conjunction with the completion of Westfield Century City's highly anticipated renovation. The centre's new outdoor plazas and courtyards - designed by Westfield in collaboration with acclaimed tastemaker and L.A. resident Kelly Wearstler - are inspired by Southern California's mid-century modern style. Central to the new design is an 18,000 square foot Atrium and events space, which is envisioned as a new performance venue for the Westside of Los Angeles. The centre will also play host to a variety of art and cultural events, with additional partnerships and programs to be announced.
