Wincanton, the largest British logistics company, has extended its relationship with London-based home furnishings brand Loaf, to provide eFulfilment services.

The ability for Wincanton to scale up and down to support Loaf's aspirations for growth in the UK, was at the heart of the retailer's decision to continue working with Wincanton.

The contract, which began in 2014, has been extended until 2020 and will see Wincanton continue as the sole supplier of warehousing and customer delivery services to Loaf, supporting order fulfilment for one- and two-man 'white glove' home delivery.

The operations will be run from Wincanton's Greenford Fulfilment Centre which services multiple clients with a range of consolidation, fulfilment and delivery services.

Paul Durkin, Director of Home and eFulfilment at Wincanton said of the announcement:

'The customer experience is a key differentiator for retailers. For a business like Loaf, where such a high proportion of its sales are conducted online, getting the customer journey right, is crucial. From convenient delivery times to helpful and efficient delivery crews, with great communication all the way, the customer comes first.

'We are proud to have partnered with Loaf on their growth journey for the past four years, flexibility has always been key and our Home Delivery Network and Greenford facility is perfect for this.'
