Woolworths' : statement on SPC Ardmona

Tuesday, 8 November 2016: Woolworths works hard to ensure we offer the best quality products at the right price for customers. This involves regularly reviewing our sourcing agreements to ensure customer needs are at the heart of every decision.

We remain committed to the spirit of our 5 year partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil's SPC Ardmona for Woolworths Brand Australian canned fruit and we're presently engaged in discussions covering pricing and volumes for the coming season. These discussions take place each year and have always resulted in the supply arrangement continuing. We expect that with the support of CCA's SPC Ardmona that the current discussions will conclude positively this week.

A separate year-to-year arrangement for the supply of Woolworths Brand Australian tinned tomatoes from CCA's SPC Ardmona has now concluded and we have advised that we will not renew this. As part of our ongoing commitment to source Australian made tinned tomatoes we have now commenced supply from another local provider who sources their tomatoes from the Murray Valley region in Victoria.

We however continue to support SPC Ardmona by offering customers the Ardmona brand of tinned tomatoes throughout our stores.
