[Attachment] 'Our greatest sphere of influence in transitioning to a low carbon economy comes from the advice our experts provide to our clients,' says Paul Dollin, our Chief Operating Officer who is also responsible for our sustainability agenda

Over the years, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has made sustainability a key element in our work and our sustainability report shows examples of this effort.

'We believe that in tandem with our technical expertise, it is through offering sustainable solutions that we will achieve our vision to 'always' be the first choice for clients, partners and employees,' says Pierre Shoiry, former President and CEO and current Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, in our 2015 Global Sustainability Report.

Our 'Future Ready' program embeds sustainability in all our projects and is designed to help our clients thrive in a changing world by reducing environmental impacts over the life cycle of their assets. 'Making current infrastructure ready for the future is a colossal task, and designing for the future really sets us apart in our industry,' added Pierre Shoiry.

Global Sustainability Strategy

In addition to our 'Future Ready' program, we have three key objectives to support our sustainability goals:

1. We will use the growth of the sustainable economy to develop new markets and commercial opportunities. To achieve this, we are seeking out the most transformative and innovative projects to pioneer a more sustainable future.

2. We will actively manage our own environmental and social impact and will strive for continual improvement. This will include many areas, such as monitoring energy use in our offices globally and enhancing our performance on matters of diversity: 81% of our employees said they work in an environment that is open and accepts individual differences.

3. We will continue to find ways to play an active part in the communities in which we operate and our employees will continue to support and give time to sponsoring activities for local organizations and programs such as Engineers without Borders and many others.

More Than a Yearly Exercise

Our 2015 Sustainability Report shows all of the above and much more. At WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, sustainability is not just a once-a-year activity. It is a commitment we take very seriously, and we would like this report to inspire us all.

Agneta Persson, the Global Director for Designing Future Cities in Sweden sums it up: 'My vision is that all our work contributes to a sustainable future, and that all our assignments are designed and carried out to increase environmental, social and economic sustainability.'
