Bill Hoffman

Prior to joining Best Buy Co., Inc. in April 2010, Mr. Hoffman worked for McKinsey's Strategy Practice.
Before that, he was a partner in the Gallup Organization's Minneapolis office, where he was responsible for overall relationships with some of Gallup's leading retail, hospitality and financial services clients.
He also served various senior vice president roles directing strategic planning for National City Corporation's Private Client Group and leading customer segment strategy for Bank of America in their Premier Banking & Investments division and Competitive Intelligence and Strategy unit.
Mr. Hoffman began his career as an intelligence officer at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he earned the Balkans service medal and two exceptional performance awards from CIA Director George Tenet and is a lieutenant in the U.S.
Naval Reserve.
He is passionate about serving veterans' groups as a member of the myVetwork advisory board, a social networking group designed to help veterans integrate into the workforce.
Mr. Hoffman holds a master's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and bachelor degrees in economics and international studies from DePaul University.
