(MT Newswires) -- Andrew Feldman, CEO of Cerebras Systems, points out that the third generation of their chip enables the same work to be done in half the time without any increase in price. The chip contains four trillion transistors, making it the largest ever produced in the computer industry. It is optimised for training AI jobs, particularly large generative AI models, and halves the time needed to complete these projects.
The chip also halves the cost per unit of computation and is the basis for a new supercomputer that the company is building.
