FTSE 100 Set to Rise After Upbeat Asia Trading

0630 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open 32 points higher at 7120 after upbeat trading in Asia, according to CMC Markets. Markets in mainland China and Hong Kong are 2.2% and 1.4% ahead, respectively, and Japan's Nikkei gains 1.8%. The Dow Jones closed Friday 0.6% higher. "Today's European open is expected to be a positive one after Friday's decent U.S. close and a positive start to the week in Asia this morning," CMC's Michael Hewson says. (philip.waller@wsj.com)
