(Alliance News) - Ireland's trade surplus declined in February, numbers on Tuesday showed.

According to the Central Statistics Office, exports fell 3.0% to EUR17.59 billion in February from EUR18.06 billion in January. Imports rose 7.0%, meanwhile, to EUR10.39 billion from EUR9.68 billion.

It means the nation's trade surplus weakened by 14% on-month to EUR7.20 billion from EUR8.38 billion.
