April 16 (Reuters) - French software company Planisware launched an initial public offering priced at 16 euros per share on Tuesday, valuing it at 1.11 billion euros ($1.18 billion).

The offering represents a maximum of 15,085,000 ordinary shares to be sold for about 241 million euros ($256 million), Planisware said in a statement.

The company's founders will keep a majority stake following the IPO. ($1 = 0.9421 euros) (Reporting by Stéphanie Hamel)
