STOCKHOLM, April 23 (Reuters) - A fall in inflation is good news and paving the way for improved purchasing power in Sweden, Riksbank Governor Erik Thedeen said on Tuesday.

"Inflation has moved in the right direction and the latest outcome was significantly lower than our forecast. The fall in inflation is good news and very welcome," Thedeen said in the summary of a speech published on the central bank's website. (Reporting by Essi Lehto, editing by Stine Jacobsen)
