(Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Wednesday, pressured by technology stocks following Shopify's downbeat forecast, while higher bond yields and declining commodity prices further weakened sentiment.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 241.04 points, or 1.08%, at 22,049.58.
