(Alliance News) - SulNOx Group PLC on Monday celebrated another successful shipping evaluation, as well as further revenue from an expanded evaluation of its drop-in fuel conditioner, SulNOxEco.

The London-based 'greentech' company specialises in liquid hydrocarbon fuel decarbonisation. Its shares were up 0.1% at 27.97 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.

Marfin Management SAM, a Monaco-based dry-bulk ship management company, successfully trialled SulNOxEco on board its bulk carrier. It burnt very low sulphur fuel oil over a three-month period in its MAN 2-stroke engine, SulNOx said.

According to SulNOx, this trial confirmed the fuel consumption improvements of using SulNOxEco in VLSFO, one of the most commonly used fuels in the maritime industry.

On the basis of this successful initiative, Marfin has further agreed to purchase more SulNOxEco for use onboard its existing vessel, and to expand the ongoing trial up to six vessels.
