The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Tuesday,
and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie was trading 0.6% lower at C$1.3607 to the
greenback, or 73.49 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of
1.3533 to 1.3609.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 9.5
basis points to 3.502%. The yield on similar U.S. government
benchmark debt fell to 4.3005%.
U.S. April crude futures fell 1 cents to $82.71 a barrel
on Tuesday.
Canada's annual inflation rate eased to 2.8% in February,  down
from 2.9% in January, Statistics Canada said. Analysts polled by
Reuters had expected an annual rate of 3.1%
